Gigatherm offers several options for the mass catering sector in the care segment. From the central production plant to reheating for serving food. Everything from a single source.
With MicroPast, Gigatherm offers a patented production process for pasteurised meals that can be adapted to the requirements of the respective demand. As a continuous in-pack pasteurisation process, in which cooking and pasteurisation take place simultaneously, the process offers the highest hygienic safety and still very high, fresh product qualities in great variety.
Especially in times of pandemics, the catering system has been able to show that the company can react to unforeseen situations, that the products are packed in a contamination-proof manner and that food waste can be dramatically reduced.
Patients do not have to choose their meal plan for the next few days at the beginning of a week, but can conveniently select what they would like to eat that day shortly before lunchtime, just like in a restaurant.
Fixed times for serving meals are also no longer an issue. The MicroPast system makes it possible to feed each patient at an individual time. This means that even cost-intensive medical facilities can be used during "lunch time".
Safe and reliable heating of the food is ensured by the GGM Cam with integrated camera, which can capture a QR code on the product packaging and pass it on to the appliance. Thus, the user only has to press "Start" and the correct heating programme runs, which can include up to 3 phases (power and time) for gentle yet fast heating.
