The GAR Regulation (EU) 2016/426 and the certification according to it is addressed to manufacturers of Gas Appliances and mainly concerns six product families: Cooking, Heating, Hot Water Production, Refrigeration, Lighting and Washing (including ironing).

CE Certification according to the GAR Regulation is mandatory for all non-industrial gas appliances and appliances not used within the industrial environment.

Kiwa also carries out Testing activities in accordance with the Directive 92/42/EEC, which concerns hot water boilers fed by gaseous or liquid fuels with a nominal power equal to or greater than 4kW and less than 400 kW.

In any case, Kiwa Italia is also available to analyze the equipment that does not fall under the GAR Regulation or under the Efficiency Directive and estimate whether it meets the minimum safety or performance requirements of the Directives themselves.
