Is there such a thing as a powerful design? The new series of goblets from Stölzle Lausitz clearly answers the question in the affirmative. Their name: Power. Their distinctive features: a flat bottom to the goblet with an imperceptible curve to the stem and a long drawn-out funnel. The expressive form has one clear effect: it provides for power and expression with every wine. The bulging waist of the goblet is positioned directly at the level of the goblet base in the Power series glasses. This ensures optimum ventilation even with small quantities of wine, thanks to the large contact surface between wine and air. A diameter of just under 10 cm in the red wine glass at the lower end of the goblet always guarantees the desired breathing effect. The glass walls of the goblet continue directly on the level of the base of the goblet and as a result form an extremely long straight line. There is no additional rounding or indentation to cause a break in the funnel effect. The wine's bouquet which has developed in the glass is conducted directly to the nose of the drinker. The shape of the goblet, developed by Stölzle Lausitz in cooperation with sommeliers, provides the optimum drinking characteristics for the glasses in the Power series and enhances the individual characters of all wines. The distinctive bowl of the glass is supported by a slightly waisted stem, which merges equally smoothly into the goblet and also into the foot of the glass. This gives the Power glasses a surprisingly overall appearance of lightness whilst simultaneously underlining their straightforward styling.
